Jan Christian Brataas, General Manager of Omega 365 Core, emphasizes the importance of this work, which requires continuous follow-up.

The companies Omega 365 Core, Omega 365 Lithuania, Omega 365 USA, and Omega 365 Canada have now secured ISO certifications (27001 and 9001). This means that the companies have achieved internationally recognized standards for quality management (ISO 9001) and information security (ISO 27001). The parent company Omega AS is also certified under ISO 27001, having previously obtained the ISO 9001 certification.

“The certification process has been extensive and demanding but using Omega 365 as our enterprise management system has made it much easier. By reusing existing processes and systems and having managers and team members who genuinely want to improve, this has gone very well,” says Brataas.

He believes the greatest advantage of the certification is that it provides a systematic and documented approach to both quality and safety, which in turn leads to improved client satisfaction, increased efficiency, and risk reduction.

“ISO 27001 helps us identify and manage risks related to information security, which in turn reduces the likelihood of security breaches,” he says.

Certifying more companies

Brataas emphasizes the importance of this work, which requires continuous follow-up. He believes it will be crucial to help all companies comply with the standards' requirements to ensure successful recertification next year.

“We also want more companies in the group to become certified and aim for the remaining Solutions companies to be certified in the coming years, but this will be evaluated continuously going forward.”

“It is also important to incorporate sustainability principles into our business strategy and operational processes. This ensures that the organization takes social and environmental responsibility. We want to promote a culture where quality, safety, and sustainability are core values in the organization,” says Brataas.

Omega AS, including Omega 365 Solutions, Omega 365 Consulting, Omega 365 Areal, and Omega 365 Design are already ISO certified.

Sustainability in new offices

In Houston, the President of Omega 365 USA, Øyvind Vik, believes that the ISO certifications demonstrate a commitment to cybersecurity, data protection, and quality.

“This is an external confirmation that shows both clients and employees that the systems and processes we have established globally are effective.”

When the Houston branch moved to new offices two years ago, sustainability was a key factor.

“We are now in a LEED Gold certified building, with great focus on energy efficiency, water conservation, and waste reduction. We continue to look for ways to improve and are proud that so many of our clients are at the forefront of sustainability,” says Vik.

A strong mark of quality

Kenneth Steinsvik, General Manager of Omega 365 Canada, believes the certification is a quality mark that builds trust with clients.

“ISO certification is a recognition that we work in a structured manner and focus on quality and safety in our daily work. This is a quality mark that assures our clients they made the right choice when they selected Omega 365 as their supplier.”

“With Omega 365, we reach a larger client base, and the ISO certification can help us access new markets,” he says, adding that the certification demonstrates the company’s presence in the market.

Strengthening the company

Vadim Narožnij, General Manager of Omega 365 Lithuania, agrees with his colleagues that the certification strengthens the company. He emphasizes that the certification itself is not the goal, but rather that Omega 365 uses this opportunity to enhance its efforts, especially in information security and quality management.

“The certificate provides our clients with proof that Omega 365 takes these things seriously—this definitely leads to a more competitive market position,” says Narožnij.

“When we went through the checklists, we initially saw that we had already done most of what is required, which was a pleasant realization,” he says, while still highlighting the important gaps that emerged during the process.

“Continuing to work on these points forces us to become even more structured and improve further, particularly in documentation. The biggest lesson was that by fully utilizing the Omega 365 software, we almost automatically ensure compliance with ISO standards,” says Narožnij.
