Despite long days at work, Kenneth finds time to get up close and personal with "Nemo's" mates and sets his sights on conquering some of Australia's best loved pastimes. In the meantime, he continues to conquer his appetite - Vietnamese, Japanese and Chinese Yum Cha the flavours of the week this week. Tuesday, 18 October 2005Long day at work. Was home around 20.00 and went straight to the gym. There is not much time to do anything exciting during the week days, so I try to concentrate on work instead.Wednesday, 19 October 2005Another long working day. Went to a Vietnamese restaurant afterwards together with Puay and Ken. Ken has full control of the cheapest and best places to eat down here. A meal costs around 50NOK at these restaurants. (It won't be easy to adjust to liver paté and bread when you get home…Ed)Continued the evening with a little tour to Leedelville Hotel together with Rebecca and Stuart. This is a large discotheque full of students on Wednesdays. Very nice place with lots of pretty girls. Thursday, 20 October 2005
Another normal working day. Working to get systems and sub systems into Pims now. At lunch, Ken and I went to a Sushi restaurant. There was a sushi train and you just picked food off it as the mood took you. The first time I tried sushi, but most types I tried were surprisingly good. Friday, 21 October 2005Friday, and most people at work are ready for the weekend. Today is Wayne's last day. He is finishing to start in a smaller firm. After I started at Clough I have noticed that many have finished. Also, I have spoken to a few who are not very happy here. After a trip to the hairdresser and some shopping, I had an early night. A bit tired after a hard week. Saturday, 22 October 2005
Went to a Chinese restaurant for Yum Cha together with Puay, Darren, Page, Stuart and Ken. Yum Cha is Chinese morning tea together with lunch. Not sure what I ate but it was good and I am not sick yet! Sunday, 23 October 2005Went to the beach this morning. Today the weather was lovely…29 degrees. I can feel summer approaching here. The sun is extremely strong because of the hole in the ozone layer and I feel quite cooked. Most use sun factor 30+ here.Haven't tried to surf yet but I am tempted to go on a course. Spoke with someone at work who said that there were courses available nearby on the beach. Back to "Kenneth Down Under" |
