Led by program leaders D. Young Hoang and Noura El Moughny, this year’s program offered recent graduates a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience, with the potential to transition into full-time roles within Omega 365 USA.

Since its inception in 2022, Omega 365 USA's internship initiative has become a cornerstone of the company's recruitment strategy, providing structured learning opportunities that align with the company’s needs. This summer, 12 interns participated, with 4 of them joining Omega 365 in full-time positions upon completion.

Immersive learning experience

Throughout the 10-week program, interns were immersed in real-world projects, contributing to full-stack applications and learning to navigate Omega 365's software solutions. Noura ElMoughny, who managed the Analyst internship, emphasized the importance of exposing young talent to the same challenges she faces in her daily work as a path to shaping their future workforce.

“The program's success is a collaborative effort, bringing together various departments to mentor and support the interns. The involvement of Omega 365’s employee base has been crucial in creating an environment where interns feel supported,” says Noura ElMoughny, who leads the Analyst internship program.

Dylan Mall, now a full-time Associate Analyst at Omega 365, began his journey with the company through the program.

“The Omega 365 Analyst Internship was a fantastic way to learn about the company and their process while strengthening skills in presenting and demonstrating the use of our applications. The head start granted from the internship made the transition to a full-time position effortless and smooth.”

Similarly, participants Sergio Gonzalez and Javier Ramirez, now full-time Junior Systems Developers at Omega 365, reflected on their internship experiences, expressing appreciation for the challenging projects and mentorship that played a key role in their growth throughout the program.

“It was a really great experience, and I truly appreciate the knowledge sharing and guidance, both technical and general life advice, throughout the program,” says Gonzalez.

“I want to thank D. Young Hoang for everything. The structure of this program challenged us on a daily basis. All the advice provided to us was very valuable, and I always did my best to take it into consideration. I came into this program looking to improve overall as a developer, and I can confidently say I did,” says Ramirez.

Developing talent

The program's success is evident in the growing number of interns who transition into full-time roles. D. Young Hoang, who has also been instrumental in guiding the interns, highlighted the skill development he’s witnessed among the participants.

“I’m thrilled to see how our investment in the development of our developer internship program has paid off. In each program, based on our needs, we offer the top candidates full-time positions, and they’ve consistently shown that they fit seamlessly into Omega's culture. They’ve grown both technically and personally, building their career journey with us. It’s truly a win-win for both sides,” says D. Young Hoang, Department Manager leading the Developer Intern program.

Looking forward

Omega 365 USA President, Øyvind Vik, also points out the broader impact of the internship program, not only in building individual careers but also in strengthening the company with energy and fresh perspectives.

“Landing the first relevant career opportunity has always been hard - and can be a difficult and confusing period for young students about to enter the workforce. Companies have a responsibility to provide opportunities for young professionals to get a great start to their career. Through participating in our program, participants get an in-depth understanding of our company culture, values, and operations, and get to know their potential coworkers and daily responsibilities. In return, we gain fresh perspectives, ideas and can guide the interns to solve real-world challenges that are relevant to us and our clients.”

As Omega 365 USA continues to expand, the internship program remains a key part of its strategy for sustainable growth. The next iteration of the internship is expected to start in January. Please connect with program leaders on LinkedIn and keep an eye out for our job openings as we get closer!
